Our friend, Ben, had his 5th spinal surgery today at the Shriners Hospital in Montreal.
This surgery was unexpected and I’m not sure what’s harder as a caregiver, having lots of lead time or being in an emergency situation. Regardless, the Wolfe Pack is sending love to our hemi-buddy, Ben, and his mom, Karen.
The following post was originally posted way back in September 2015. Today, I’m hoping it puts a smile on the faces of this family.
If you would like to learn a little more about Ben’s story pop over to their blog, Crooked Journey. Karen has a wicked sense of humour and she openly and honestly talks about life as a medical momma.
This past weekend we headed out to Kane’s friend, Ben’s house for a little session with Ben and his sister, Hannah. Luckily, the rain held off until we were safely back inside eating banana bread and playing with a fart gun.

Okay and a couple from when the kids were showing me their rooms.
This week in my course, The Business of Telling Stories, we are specifically working on telling a story in a sequence of photos, so Hannah’s idea for the frog hunt was perfect!
Thanks for sharing their story….beautiful family and I’m sure that Ben is glad to have that surgery behind him.
