Leader of Our Pack

Today is Harrison’s birthday.
He doesn’t love telling people.
But I do!

To me birthdays are an opportunity to celebrate those people who have made a difference in our lives. And let me tell you… this guy has made a difference.

He teaches our boys to try new things and to stick with it.

He teaches our boys to be independent and try their best.

He teaches our boys there are responsibilities associated with rights.

He teaches our boys to smile at their accomplishments.

He reminds me to slow down and pay attention to the details,

To celebrate how far we’ve come,

And to think about where we’re going.

Harrison still hasn’t quite got that perfect Seattle Seahawks birthday wish yet, but he did fit in a morning hunt this weekend and a larch hike with the fam. We also didn’t spend his birthday in hospital like two years ago!

Thankful today and everyday for this guy. Happy birthday, babe.

A look back at where we were 2 years ago.
